Moondance has been a pillar of British rave culture since its formation in '95.The Brainchild of promoter Funki, Moondance was launched to recreate the unprejudiced, loved-up vibe of the original acid house and rave days. Moondance is and always has been about bringing together different styles of dance music, and a diverse crowd of up-for-it bunch of party-people.
After two decades Moondance continues to be one of London’s most successful events having hosted sold out shows at iconic venues including The Astoria, Bagleys, The Coronet, Crystal Palace Sports Centre, Koko, Roller Express, The Scala, Ministry of Sound, SeOne Complex and the Great Suffolk Street Warehouse.
Moondance has an open music policy and brings together a unique mix of old skool, club classics, garage, drum & bass, jungle, house, acid, hardcore and rave. Moondance also famously brings together some of the best-known rave brands and collectives spanning the folk who started the scene in disused warehouses around the M25 through to the current crop of superstar DJs, many of whom launched their careers at Moondance events.
In 2015 “Moondance the Festival” was launched and has already established its place in the annual calendar of must-attend parties. "Moondance-4-life" launched in 2009 and is an annual charity event that has raised tens of thousands of pounds for amazing causes including Prostate Cancer UK, Macmillan and the Pink Ribbon Trust.
